"The prayer of the upright is his delight."
—Proverbs 15:8

Reflection:

As a young girl, I loved to play a game called "Authors" with my younger sister, Barbara, and our mother--especially at Christmas and New Year's. I never forgot one of the inspiring quotations by an old (dead) author, Alfred Lord Tennyson: "More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of."

With that in mind, I offer you an exciting challenge for the start of this brand new year. What if we prayed more and worried less? What if each of us offered up a thanksgiving of prayer (praise) to God, even in the midst of the worst trials and heartaches?

Will you join me in lifting our worship to the Lord daily this New Year 2014, dear friend?

Prayer doesn't have to be words; it can be an attitude of worship, as well. A mindset that signals how wide open our hearts are before our great God. (How tenderhearted we are, as well.)

Prayer is the key. Are you in?

A blessed New Year,

Bev Lewis
